Peachtree Linux
Peachtree Linux was a Linux distribution being developed by several students or former students at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Since its inception in the fall of 2002, Peachtree Linux has aimed to be a small system for the seasoned Linux user. You won't find GNOME or KDE among Peachtree Linux packages. Peachtree Linux was developed in parallel on Alpha, i686 and PowerPC platforms.

Paweł Pijanowski has announced the release of SparkyLinux 3.1 "E17", "MATE" and "Razor-qt" editions, a set of Debian-based distributions and live CDs featuring three popular lightweight desktop user interfaces: "SparkyLinux 3.1 'Annagerman' E17, MATE and Razor-qt editions are out. The new ISO images of SparkyLinux provide a few changes and system improvements, similar to last week's release of SparkyLinux 3.1 LXDE, Ultra and CLI: Linux kernel 3.10.11; all packages have been updated from Debian's testing repositories as of 2013-10-05; Sparky Backup System - one more bug fixed, updated up to 0.1.5; Enlightenment 17 desktop is available as a separated ISO image now and it has been updated to version 0.17.3 from Debian's unstable repository; added Teamviewer client, Sparky APTus, Minitube, Gnote, Osmo, Radiotray and Xfburn. SparkyLinux is a lightweight distribution based on Debian. The project's latest release is an update to the project's Stable 5.x branch. The new version, SparkyLinux 5.9, includes updates from Debian 10 "Buster", an updated LTS kernel, and a Hungarian translation for the Sparky tools. The release announcement has the details: "SparkyLinux 5.9 "Nibiru" is out. This is a quarterly update of live/install media of the stable line, which is based on Debian 10 "Buster". The base system has been upgraded from Debian stable repos as of October 4, 2019. It works on the Linux kernel 4.19.67 LTS. As usually, new ISO/IMG images provide small bug fixes and improvements as well. Sparky project page and Sparky forums got new skins; no big changes about the colors but they are much mobile devices friendly now. Nemomen finished translating Sparky tools to Hungarian (thanks a lot), but many of them still waiting for adding to packages." The SparkyLinux team have published the first new release of the project's semi-rolling branch, which is based on Debian Testing, also known as "Bullseye". The new snapshot, SparkyLinux 2019.08, ships with updated kernels, new compiler options and is available in LXQt, Xfce and two minimal editions. "There are new live/install media of SparkyLinux 2019.08 'Po Tolo' available to download. This is the 1st snapshot of the new (semi-)rolling line, which is based on the testing branch of Debian 'Bullseye'. Changes: system updated from Debian Testing 'Bullseye' repos as of August 1, 2019; added GCC 9 (GCC 8 is still the default one); new Sparky6 theme; new Tela icon set; refreshed desktop look; SDDM instead of LightDM (LXQt edition); Linux kernel 4.19.37 (5.1.21 EOL, 5.2.5 and 5.3-rc2 available at Sparky unstable repos). As I mentioned before, Sparky of the rolling line is available to amd64/x86_64 machines only. Sparky rolling 32-bit is fully supported so if you have it, simply keep it up to date." SparkyLinux is a lightweight, Debian-based distribution. The project has switched its 5.x branch over from Debian Testing to Debian Stable, making the 5.x branch a more static release. SparkyLinux 5.8 is the first new snapshot based on the Stable branch. The release announcement states: "There are new live/install media of SparkyLinux 5.8 'Nibiru' available to download. This is the first release of the new stable line, which is based on the Debian 10 'Buster'. SparkyLinux is a Debian-based distribution which is available in several editions. The Sparky team has released a new snapshot of the project's Rolling branch which is based on Debian Testing. "There are new live/install ISO images of SparkyLinux 5.7 Nibiru available to download. This is the first of this year's ISO images releasing of the Rolling line, which is based on Debian Testing 'Buster'. Changes: system updated from Debian Testing repos as of March 4, 2019; Linux kernel 4.19.16 (5.0 and 4.20.14 available in Sparky's Unstable repos); the Calamares installer updated up to version 3.2.4; user's folders such as: Documents, Music, Download, etc. are automatically created now in your home directory in Openbox and other, small window managers; Yad reinstalled to the default Debian's version + removed old libs (html mode doesn't work now); Linux kernel has been reverted to Debian's version from testing repos (amd64 / i686 non-pae) as default." SparkyLinux is a lightweight distribution based on Debian. The project's latest release is SparkyLinux 5.6 which is based on Debian's Testing 'Buster' branch. The new version includes several package updates and includes PAE support in the 32-bit kernel. Users who need non-PAE kernels are advised to switch to SparkyLinux's Stable branch. "There are new live/install ISO images of SparkyLinux 5.6 'Nibiru' available to download. This it the 4th and the last this year ISO image update of the rolling line, which is based on Debian Testing 'Buster'. SparkyLinux is a Debian-based distribution featuring three different development branches and multiple editions. The project has released a new update, SparkyLinux 4.9, to its Stable branch, based on Debian 9 Stretch. "New ISO images feature security updates and small improvements, such as: full system upgrade from Debian stable repos as of November 8, 2018; Linux kernel 4.9.110 (PC); Linux kernel 4.14.71 (ARM); added key bindings of configuration of monitor brightness (Openbox); added key bindings of configuration of system sound (Openbox and LXDE); added cron configuration to APTus Upgrade Checker. SparkyLinux is a lightweight, fast and simple Linux distribution based on Debian. The project's latest release, SparkyLinux 5.5 "Rolling", is based on Debian's Testing branch. The new version includes mostly minor package updates, and makes the leap from using GCC 7 to GCC 8 for the default compiler. "There are new live/install ISO images of SparkyLinux 5.5 Nibiru available to download. Sparky 5 follows a rolling release model and is based on Debian testing Buster. The SparkyLinux team has announced a new development snapshot of the project's SparkyLinux 5.5 Testing branch. The new release candidate is based on Debian Testing, features an updated kernel, fixes issues with setting up Btrfs in the installer and language support has been improved. "There are new ISO images of SparkyLinux 5.5 Release Candidate available to download. Sparky 5 follows rolling release model and is based on Debian Testing 'Buster'. ISO images of Sparky 5.5 RC provides bug fixing found in the 5.5 dev20180725 release. Changes: system update from Debian Testing repos as of August 10, 2018. Linux kernel 4.17.8 (Sparky's kernel 4.17.14 and 4.18-rc8 is available in Sparky 'Unstable' repos). Older Linux kernel 4.16.12 is still available from live menu, which can be used in a case of any problem with the newest one. A couple of fixes around the Btrfs setting in the Advanced Installer. Fixed mount option for Calamares and Advanced installer which lets you install Sparky on UEFI machines (off-line grub-efi debs installation)." SparkyLinux is a Debian-based distribution which maintains multiple branches and editions. The Sparky team has released a new snapshot of the project's Rolling branch, SparkyLinux 5.5. The new snapshot includes updates from Debian's Testing branch, features Timeshift and improved file system support for Btrfs and XFS.
